Descriptions:
“Rollin Mod Pack” [1.48.x]
———————–
Important Info:
1: If you plan to use this truck on an existing profile, before installing the Rollin mods, you must first sell any currently owned SCS Peterbilt 389 trucks that you own in the game, as the Rollin 389 Mod is a vast overhaul mod that replaces that truck. You can then activate the Rollin mods and rebuy the trucks.
2: Examine the “MOD_LOAD_ORDER.png” and use it to align the mods in your Mod Manager according to the image. It is highly recommended that you put my mods above all others.
3: The Rollin MAC trailer is not an optional or standalone mod. It must always be installed with the Rollin 389 truck mod.
4: The “User Resources” folder contains the current open def files, and an assortment of customizable textures that can be added to the open def archive, and then selected within the game. NOTE: If you decide to use the Open Def, load it directly ABOVE the “Rollin 389” truck mod.
5: There are 4k and 8k versions of the paint templates, as well as a layered Photoshop version of the trailer template.
6: The UV Map Key is also located in the template folder, this will direct you to the areas of the templates that control the color of specific parts (air tanks, frame, etc).
7: ZEEMOD SOUNDS – Install all Zeemod sounds ABOVE all Rollin related mods.
8: The color gauge addon mods need to be installed above the Rollin 389 truck mod.
9: The interior lighting is animated, which is how it’s able to look so realistic, the way the bulbs and clear lenses illuminate, etc. The tradeoff to that is animated objects with a function can’t be an optional accessory – it’s a game engine limitation. So, the lighting color is attached to the interior model, green interior, green lights, purple interior, purple lights, and so on.
There are user resources in the open def mod that allows you to change the color sample of one of the existing interiors, so you can use a color that you like with a specific lighting color, but that does require some knowledge of editing textures and repacking them into the Rollin Open Def mod.
10: When using dual revolution lighting options, turning on the parking lights and beacon function at the same time, will cause massive FPS issues. These two functions are not meant to be used together when using the dual revolution lighting.

Performance / Buffer Info:
The default skins in this mod use 8k resolution, for better visual clarity. To remove buffer warnings from game, you need to increase the maximum buffer value. This is done by adding a couple simple launch options in the Steam properties menu for American Truck Simulator.
1: Navigate to Steam Game Library, find “American Truck Simulator” in the games list, right click on it and select “Properties…”.
2: On the General tab of the Properties menu, you will see an empty field below where it says, “LAUNCH OPTIONS”.
3: In the small box that appears, copy and paste ONE of the following lines into the empty field. ONLY CHOOSE ONE LINE that correspondence to the amount of RAM that is in your computer. DO NOT include the RAM size and [brackets], only what comes after.
[4 GB RAM] -mm_pool_size 2048 -mm_max_resource_size 100 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
[8 GB RAM] -mm_pool_size 4096 -mm_max_resource_size 100 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
[16 GB RAM] -mm_pool_size 8192 -mm_max_resource_size 100 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
[32 GB RAM] -mm_pool_size 16384 -mm_max_resource_size 100 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
[64 GB RAM] -mm_pool_size 32768 -mm_max_resource_size 100 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 1000
4: Once you’ve pasted your line, you close the Properties menu. All done!

Also, one of the best ways to prevent any random crashes when using large mods, is increasing the buffer page size:
-Navigate to your Documents\American Truck Simulator directory and open your config.cfg file with Notepad.
-Find the line in the document that says uset r_buffer_page_size “10”. Change the “10” to “30”, save and close the config.cfg.
